RE: SECRETARY GENERAL (YNITU) & NURSE ACTIVIST CHARGES THROWN OUT OF COURT.
Monday, 26 JUNE 2017
Nurse Leader, Comrade Mduduzi Ndlovu matter brought forward by the South African Nursing Council was not enrolled and nor entertained by Pretoria Central Margistrate Court today. Cde. Ndlovu was cleared from all allegations leveled against him and was discharged by the court.
YNITU has subsequently laid charges against the South African Nursing Council (SANC) and Cardura Security Services. Implicated security officers were apprehended today by the South African Police Services (SAPS).
Cde. Ndlovu took the bullet to defend the Nursing revolution and YNITU stands firm and unshaken in its mission to liberate the Nursing profession that remains colonised two decades plus into democracy.
SANC further attempted to reschedule the meeting which failed to materialize on Friday, 23 June 2017 at 12:00 when YNITU SG was brutally assaulted in their building. We see no reason to sit with SANC as both matters regarding students and YNITU are currently sub-judice and the full might of the law must take its course. YNITU as SAFTU affiliates will not be succumbed to victimization and intimidation.
Pretoria High Court has advised us that it has already granted an urgent interdict forwarded last week by an independent union which postpones exams to sit on the 19-20 July 2017 pending court judgement on the matter. YNITU wil leave no stone unturned until SANC Circular 2/2017 is declared null and void.
The colonial white elephant (SANC) has not been challenged until now and it needs to be reminded that they are dealing with a different breed of Nurses that will fight to the end for their democratic rights and advocate for patient nursing care to be superior in our land under a regulatory body that is transformed, democratic, decentralised and patient-nurse centred in line with the Nursing Act 33 of 2005.
